Paris: Week Three, Day Five

Thursday, July 13

Today was the last day of class for this week. Tomorrow starts the French independence day holiday. I’m out of school until Monday. Yay!

I have decided to just lay low this weekend. Rumors are swirling about protests and I’m just not comfortable. In addition, Paris officials have shut down the Champs-Élysées. You must have a ticket to enter and be a resident. Last year, I went to a bridge over the Seine to view the fireworks at the Eiffel Tower. Everyone was disappointed at the fireworks last year, so I’m not especially looking forward to it this year. I’ll just use this time to rest, study, and take it easy.
